Essential For A Royce

I recommend this product
I've had a Royce bottom bracket in my bike for 14+ years (it was installed in 1997). Only now in 2012 have the bearings given out.

This tool was essential in getting the bottom bracket out. After 15 years it was a little seized. I may have been able to save the cups and reuse them with new bearings but alas BBs have moved on and I am now installing an integrated crankset. Royce, your BB was one in a million.

Hi,

As far as we're aware this tool is suitable for use with the old Hope bottom brackets that use the 6-point tool.

Thanks.
Tools For Royce Titanium Nonlocking Model

I have a Raven Adventurer tandem. the bottom brackets are loose and creaking. Is the RT0006 the correct tool or the RT0001? Should I just tighten or do I need to disassemble and replace or clean and greese the bearings? Please advise.
Hi,

As you have the non-locking version the RT0006 is the best tool for your needs. The RT0001 is designed for the lock-ring model and although it will technically work with your BB but it just contains the extra tool for removing the lock-ring.

Thanks.
