can I use this to remove a 7 speed 11/28T shimano free wheel on a 1995 930 shx Trek mountain bike....The Trek 1995 brochure says the bike is fitted with a shimano IG50 7speed 11/28 free wheel.... the free wheel fitted on my bike is the original one, all I can see is it is a shimano 7 speed, with the stated 11/28t sprockets and it has a 12 spline locking ring

Shimano has always used the same splined tool for their freewheels so this tool should be fine to remove your freewheel.
