The flat-less tyre. Schwalbe's best selling model. The most puncture resistant pneumatic tyre there is. In addition to the superior puncture protection it features many inner values:

- Rolling resistance. The patented, 5mm thick SmartGuard layer, when compared to all generic products, has a significant advantage in rolling resistance.
- Recycling. Also in the SmartGuard, Schwalbe use a proportion of recycled C50 rubber from old latex products.
- Anti-Aging Side Wall. It now lasts much longer before developing unsightly cracks when subjected to use with too low air pressure.
- E-Bike Ready. Due to its great properties Marathon Plus is an ideal choice for E-Bikes (E-25). The main sizes are approved and tested for E-Bikes up to 50 km/h.

Flat-Less with Marathon Plus. Only Marathon Plus tires make your bicycle flat-less. The 5mm thick puncture guard protects even against thumbtacks.

NOTE: It is impossible to guarantee that a flat will never happen, but the Marathon Plus has the best defense against everyday tyre wreckers such as glass, flints or metal shards. Use a pressure gauge to adjust tyre pressures as the common 'thumb check' is insufficient due to the special construction of the Marathon Plus.

I recommend this product
ConsVery Slightly slippery grip in wet weather
ProsPuncture resistence
First of all, totally recommend SJS for their service. In particular Ed who really went the extra mile on another purchase (thanks).

These tyres are really easy to get on my MTB. Using these on it as I’m turning my cheap hard tail for commuting along towpaths where it’s less advantageous for tractor tyre grip.

Put them on with fingers, really simple. They look pretty sleek too. Bonus!

Hi is 27.5 same as 650 cheers
ETRTO size 584 = 27.5 = 650b

Thanks, 08.01.21
Can I use this with Voodoo Hoodoo 27.5 inch rims
09 Oct 2020
Currently using Schwalbe 54-584 2.1 inch. I also guess I'll need new inner tubes

Hello, if your currently using 54-584 then these tyres will fit the rim however they are 14mm narrower. As such we ask you refer to the rim manufacture for the min/ max safe tyre widths to check compatibility.

Do I need inner tubes with these tyres as my original ones do!
25 Jul 2020
Yes you need inner tubes to suit 40-584 tyre size- you will need to ensure you select the right valve type.
Will these fit on Alexrims ZX20, that are currently fitted with Schwalbe Smart Sam, Active, 2.1?
17 Jul 2020
20mm inner, we would not recommend under 1.75" really.

Thanks - 20/07/20
Size Query
28 May 2020

I am looking for some ETRTO 44-584 tyres, though am struggling to find. Will these fit please - assuming the correct diamiter just a little narrower, is this correct? Thanks DJR
Hi yes, the most important number here is 584. Thanks
Is this a single tire or pair?
21 May 2020
All tyres, unless stated, are singles.

Thanks - 22/05/20
I understand these tyres don't like being folded. Do you fold them for shipping? Thanks
07 May 2020
Hi, we do not fold ridged tyres for shipping. Thanks
Hi - what tubes for these tyres please? Thanks
11 Dec 2019
Hi, our part 41090 if you want Presta valves or 41088 if you prefer Schrader valves. Thanks 11/12/19
Do you do this tyre in 26" 40*584
30 Sep 2019
Hi, these tyres are 40-584 so will fit a 584 rim. The 26" part is not necessary. Thanks
Will these fit my Canondale Slate which has 659b X 42 Panaracers on just now? Thanks
12 Jun 2019
Hi, from looking on the net the Cannondale Slate specification suggests tyre size 650B x 42. These tyres will fit that spec. Thanks 13/06/2019
can this tyre fit my bike's wheel?
16 Sep 2018
The original tyres I want to replace are size 27.5 x 1.95 but I see the Marathon plus i want to buy are 27.5 x 1.5, so I wonder if these, being 1.5 width will fit to my tyres?
Yes you could fit these, but you will probably need new slimmer inner tubes.

Will these be able to replace my current tyres?
31 Aug 2018
I have a mountain bike with Jalco rims (584x20c 6061H-T6). The currently fitted tyres sizing reads 44-584 [26 x 1 1/2 x 1 5/8, 650-42B]. They're Schwalbe Green Compount cruiser tyres.

Will these fit the bike?
Hi, yes they should fit. Thanks
