ConsOne tyre prematurely failed
ProsComfortable, grippy, light
I loved this tyre, and got about 1200km out of it on pretty horrible London roads for about 3 months and were way more comfortable and grippy than the Marathon it replaced.

However, the sidewall recently failed on my rear tyre (seemingly very prematurely? there's still a lot of life left in both it and the front tyre that I replaced at the same time) and, searching online, this seems to be a relatively widespread issue with this tyre. I never ride underinflated and top-up to 90psi at least once a week, so I'm kind of sketched out as to how this happened. No other tyre I've used has had a sidewall failure, let alone failed so "young".

Maybe you're willing to take that gamble, in which case I liked them while they worked, but for me I'm back to the trusty Marathons.

I recommend this product
ConsNone
ProsLow rolling resistance, easy to fit, inexpensive.
I have fitted these to one of my Bromptons. They go on easily without reorting to tyre leversand I run them at about 90PSI. It is a super smooth ride with noticeably less rolling resistance than the Schwalbe Marathon Plus that they have superceded. They are much cheaper too. The folding bead allows a spare tyre to be carried in your bag too if you are touring.

What is the maximum pressure for these tyres please?

The description says 65psi. Is that the maximum…and if so it feels jolly low. Could you either confirm or let me know what the maximum is? Thank you.
Continental list the recommended pressure as 65 psi and a maximum of 116psi. SK 11/12/23
