Good but too fragile - side walls tears off

ConsToo fragile, lasts less that a year before the side walls tears off

ProsFast, good grip, and relatively pucture resistant

Pretty good tyre but extremely fragile. I do regular commuting by bike, and this tyre does not even last a year. Very quickly the side walls of the rear tyre tears off.

SJS Customer Service:

- We would advise this is a lightweight road styled tyre, if kept to pressure 95-100PSI we tend to see little to no issues, we would not recommend it as a commuting tyre.

ConsNot as heavy duty as the marathons

ProsLight and fast

Installing them as replacement to the schwalbe marathons made a huge change in allowing the wheels to spin easier and faster. I m yet to test their strength in dealing with ATHENS streets that are full of debris and potholes. They also look great in my opinion. They are a bit salty price-wise but unless i start having too many flats i plan to stick with the kojaks in the future. The fact that they are folding allows to carry a spare in case something goes horribly wrong.

Hi,
For the Brompton front wheel:
1. what is the difference between the Schwalbe AV4 and DV4 tube please?
2. Do they both fit the wheel?

Hi there,

the AV4 uses a Schrader (car type) valve, the DV4 uses a Woods valve. The Woods is an older style, they both fit Brompton wheels/tyres.

How Much Shipping Cost To Japan?

Unfortunately as these tyres are sold by Brompton we're unable to send them to Japan. Brompton has set their own selling restrictions in which all European dealers cannot send any parts to any countries outside of the EU.
