I recommend this product
ConsNo additional puncture protection belt in casing (like Marathons other such tyres)
ProsComfort, easy to fit, light and quite fast. Retro looking.
I remember the 26 x 1 3/8 version of these tyres from my youth. They were commonly fitted on 3 speed Raleigh roadsters and bikes like that. This 650b (26 x 1 ½, ISO 35 – 584) version works really well on my Carrera Subway 2 bike that has XM119 27.5 rims on it. Maximum tyre pressure is 87psi so you can pump them up pretty hard. They sit nicely on the rim, are easy to get on any off the rim and roll very well without tyre levers. The rubber is soft and grippy, and they are quite light. They have a traditional roadster tread which makes them perfect for a hybrid bike like a Subway. I just ride round London on roads and paths. They are obviously from an old fashioned Michelin moulding, so they still have things like a like a fine corrugated pattern on the sidewalls for a dynamo, which is very quaint. Recommended: especially at the price.

Replace Schwalbe Kojak's?
By
18 Sep 2018
For my Cannondale Bad Boy 3 2018 - with 650B wheels. Slick Schwalbe's are puncture prone, very pressure sensitive.

Tyre markings are 35-584 (27.5 x 1.35) - I guess this are a direct fit?

Could you recommmend the correct tubes to match please (presta).

Also, how much wider could I go than 35mm without compromising safety/durability?

Thank you for a great selection of tyres!
Hi there,

Yes these will be a direct fit. The tube that you would need is part #13007. In terms of going wider on the tyres it is hard to say because multiple factors come in to it so it would be difficult to get an exact width.

Thanks.
