NOTE: This item is now discontinued by the manufacturer. It was original equipment on pre 2000 Bromptons and was also compatible on older Moulton bikes. We've found many customers who have been unable to source an alternate 16 x 1 3/8 Inch Tyre (ETRTO 37-349) have now opted for 16 x 1.35 Inch Tyre (ETRTO 35-349) as a suitable replacement as they are incredibly close in size and offer slightly more clearance for modern mudguard options on folding bikes.

A budget tyre, very good value if you are not a serious cyclist. Well made and has good road life.

ConsPSI, Schwalbe better 4 higher PSI at higher price,

ProsGood value

These tyres are a good, basic replacement for the original tyres on F Framed Moultons. Rated 55psi, but the Moulton bicycles were designed to run at 60psi, with their suspension both ends. I run these at 60psi with no problems.
If you want a better experience with F Frames go for the Schwalbe Marathons (85psi) or the modern Brompton equivalents. More expensive than Raleigh Records, but vastly improve the Moultons ride.

SJS not the cheapest, but excellent service/advice leaves you with a happy outcome, in my experience.

Is this a genuine Raleigh Record tire?

Previously, there was a logo of "RALEIGH RECORD" on the side, but now it is not.

Yes, this is a genuine item sourced from Raleigh, the new version of this tire does not feature this logo.

Hi there,

I would generally recommend the Marathon or Marathon plus, but if you need more tread then have a look at the Winter.
The metal studs can be removed / worn off and ten you have a nice tread for rougher terrain.
