Our strongest rear wheel for heavy loads, handbuilt by SJSC's masterwheel builder. The Ryde rim features a rim-brake edge whilst the Shimano hub sports a Centre-Lock Disc mount offering the rider their choice of braking options. Laced together using DT Swiss Champion spokes and 12mm brass nipples.

OK for my old Dawes Ultra Galaxy?

SJSC Touring Andra 30 700c Rim / Centre Lock Disc Rear Wheel HG - 10 x 135 mm - 36 Hole .
Is this wheel OK for my 2005 Dawes Galaxy or my other similar rim brake tourers? I want quick release and I don't understand the disc brake references.

Provided the size is correct then it should be fine, most hubs produced now will have a disc mount, it does not affect the use of the hub on non disc bikes. SK 10/04/26
