Really wasn't expecting much for £19.39
Was shocked to receive a British made wheel which is strong, well made, runs perfectly true and seems very good quality for the money.
Would highly recommend.

Hi can I take this down from 135mm to 120mm oln by removing the spacers many thanks in advance
We have not tried to do this therefore we cannot say for sure, it is possible but depending on sprocket used it may cause interference issues with the frame. SK 06/06/23

20 x 1.75 Rear Wheel with Nutted Solid Axle & Alloy Rim Screw on Freewheel Type - 36 Hole

Which freewheels fit this? Can it run a single freewheel and if so what is the smallest teeth size @ 1/8th?
Thanks
The hub uses an ISO thread of 1.375 x24, the smallest sprocket you can fit is a 16T at 1/8th pitch. SK 14/03/23
Is it single or double walled?

Need a replacement rear wheel 20x 1.75 36 spoke fitted with a 7 speed Shimano sprocket, will your sjs part number 2948 be suitable?Hope so! Many thanks,Colin.
I doubt it, this is an older wheel what takes freewheels- not cassettes- so no cross-compatibility. I would contact Raleigh to get the exact specification of the rear wheel used, only then can we guarantee a 1:1 replacement product.
Freewheel screw width

What size screw on free wheel fits the thread?
This will be dependant on how many gears you choose to use. Most average freewheels would work.

Are the spokes angles on each side and symmetrical or is one side flat to allow space for gears?
By

Ideally I’m looking for a symmetrical wheel as I’m fitting a single gear and don’t want loads of space between the gear and the frame
It's for a single screw on freewheel so pretty much symetrical RT
Cassette

Can you recommend an 8 speed cassette that could be used on this wheel. I would like to use it in a recumbent on a turbo trainer.
Hi,

This wheel can't accept a cassette as it is only designed for a screw on freewheel. You may need to adjust the axle spacing to allow you to fit an 8spd freewheel onto this wheel. All of the 8spd freewheels we stock share the same thread so providing there is space to fit an 8spd freewheel any we sell will be suitable.

Thanks.
Will This Fit A Dahon Speed P8?
By
25 Jun 2014
Hi,

Unfortunately as we're not a Dahon dealer I can't say for sure if it will fit or not. It will fit providing your bike uses a 135mm spaced rear dropout. Also this hub uses a screw on freewheel which doesn't accept a normal cassette which your bike would have been originally supplied with.

Thanks.
