A cheap pre-built wheel that will replace a damaged similar quality wheel.

Whilst it arrived well packaged it was out of true enough that it was necessary to re-true.

ConsNone at the price
ProsPrice
Extraordinary cheap, but reasonable quality. Did not need trueing and bearings are fine. Ideal for my 10 mile commute which includes tarmac, potholes, trail, moorland. My bike is a 35 year old 531 tourer with racks and guards. Putting £100 pound wheel on would be just nonsense!

Can I use this with a 5 speed freewheel? And is the O.L.D actually 135MM?
By

As 135MM is more common with 9 Speed (I need a 126MM O.L.D).
We have never tested this with a 5 speed, yes its 135mm.

Production of 126mm hubs is pretty slim apart from - SJS Cycles part number : 26578H32

To replace a wheel on a 60s racer.
Hi,

The hub in this wheel is designed to take a screw on freewheel, it can definitely take a 6spd freewheel though.

Thanks.
