Do these work with standard components?

Does this wheelset, with the supplied pads, work with the standard Brompton brakes? No extra upgrades needed? Also what is the durability? - I sometimes cycle near a beach and get wind blown sand on my bike.

SJS Customer Service:

Yes, the pads work in the standard Brompton calipers, no other upgrades are required. Durability will depend on environmental conditions- if you are riding with sand round you can expect to wear through the breaking surface quite quickly.

For these wheels we would suggest either the Brompton Schwalbe One Folding Tyre or Joseph Kuosac Strozzapreti Race Pro Folding Racing Tyre.

Do these come with the hubs?

My brompton is a 6speed from 2009. Would this rim set fit my original groupset / chain tensioner etc? Is it a straight swap of the rims? Would I need to change the cailper brake mechanism and/or the existing mudguards?

I love these rims and would love to upgrade. I commute daily and am itching to upgrade.

This is a listing for a set of WHEELS you need just a pair of Joseph Kuosac Carbon 16 349 Rim - Black Logo - 28 Hole (SJS Cycles part number : 49994) they come with new brake blocks, you'll need a wheelbuilder to fit them to your existing hubs RT 23/04/2020

Generally carbon wheels in 16" are not lighter. These are fr more aerodynamic and stiffer, which are the two main benefits along with higher quality hubs.

i want to buy the wheelset front & Rear but i want to use my own rear 6speed stock sturmey archer hub?you will send also the proper size of the spoke? and can i choose the white logo instead of the black logo??how much it cost me since i want to used my 6 speed hub?

We sell the rims on their own, and yes can be supplied with white graphics, we have not yet built with a BWR hub and would want to do so to determine the correct length during build.
