Can I use this with st-5501 levers/shifters?

Unable to find lever hoods to fit my bike as model is too old. Would appreciate help knowing which hoods would fit please

Sadly they are not compatible, to our knowledge a true matched fit is no longer available for these shifters, the Sora ST3500 covers are close but far from a perfect fit. SK 17/10/23

I have heard that this might work with old Sora STI 3300 shifters, the code is v similar eg Y-6CU98040 v Y-6WC98040, the difference being cu versus wc. What do those characters refer to? Ive checked my bike and looked at images and it seems there is just a gear indicator panel on the front of the shifter which otherwise looks extremely similar.
