Shimano Deore XT CS-M760 9 speed cassette Sprocket. For use with their 11-32T cassettes.

The following are an "A" match which indicates that the parts are the same in materials, appearance, finish & size etc.

- Shimano Deore XT CS-M770

The following are a "B" match which indicates that the parts are usable, but differ in materials, appearance, finish & size etc.

- Shimano XTR CS-M970

These cassettes require the Shimano TL-LR15 Lock Ring Removal Tool.

Can you tell me the width of the sprocket please?

Its the same spline as a Brompton one, and as I have had a spate of snapping the 16t sprocket at the stress raiser caused by the cut out, I was thinking of one that is not made of hardened marmite. hence if it is the same thickness as the B one I can try it...

The width of this sprocket is 1.80mm & we can confirm that the spline pattern is the same as the Brompton 16T sprocket.

is the above product compatible with my shimano hg 7 speed cassette where I need to replace my 16 t sprocket.
if not can offer an alternative.

Hi,

This sprocket is designed for 9spd cassettes so will not be suitable for use with your cassette. We do not have any sprockets compatible with 7spd cassettes available in 16T either I'm afraid.

is this ok to replace the 17t when i convert 10 speed with a 40t instead of 11/36 ratio on a xt cassette . do you have one compatable with 10 speed

Hi,

We only recommend fitting this sprocket with a 9spd cassette. The only 10spd ones we have are the for Shimano's Dura-Ace and Ultegra groupsets, they are SJSC part numbers 30229 and 30243.

Is This Sprocket Compatible With A 10 Speed Cassette?

Having fitted a 40t range extender sprocket to my 10sp XT cassette, which necessitated the removal of the 17t sprocket, I want to adjust the ratios available to avoid the massive jump from 15t to 19t... this would allow me to have 13t, 16t and 19t as adjacent ratios.
