Will this allow me to use M781 with...

Just wondering if this will allow me to use an M781 rear mech in conjunction with, or replace, the standard rear hanger on my 2012 Trek Superfly 100 AL Pro. I've bought an M781 as the original M780 is not available and it did not come with this part.

Can I use this with 42t cassette

I have an m781 rear mech without the axle which came on a Cube hardtail, it will not extend to work with a 42t cassette. If I add this axle will it manage or does this do something else?

This is designed to fit to derailleurs where they have been fitted to a bicycle with a direct fit mech hanger. This will not extend the derailleurs capability.

I have lost the bolt which connects the rear mech to the mech hanger and wondered if this fits.If not do you have the correct item to fit. Thank you.

I'm afraid this part is for a newer different style of derailleur so it won't fit your derailleur. The correct part you require is SJSC part number 34509.
