Would you recommend a steel/alloy alternative for the above as I have stripped both my screws and would rather have something a bit stronger.

Hi,
This is the only bolt we have for this purpose so we cannot offer an alternative I'm afraid. Once set this bolt should not need much adjusting again so a standard replacement should be okay.
