Shimano Deore WMH785 135mm rear hub.

I have a Shimano Deore WMH785 135mm rear hub. I want to fit it to my Trek Fuel 7 which has a 142mm rear hub spacing. Is there a kit available to convert the wheel?

Shimano hubs are not convertible.

Can I use this part to change the hub axle to 135mm x QR?
(in the details written that it can also use)

Hi, the axles are not interchangeable. You can not convert 142x12 thru axle to 135 QR. Thanks.

Hi, Shimano hubs cannot be converted to accept a different size axle. Unfortunately on this occasion you would need to change the entire hub.

this is for the full set, it includes everything show in the photo. Only the left hand cone is available separately and if you're looking for one of those they are SJSC part number 29899.

Hello, I have the Dura Ace 1380 carbon clinchers. And I might need new bearings cones axel for the rear hub. Was reading this page about the same problem : http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12937713&
and they say those parts can`t be bought anymore, but one guy at the bottom of the forum page sad that Shimano Deore XT FHM785 Rear Hub Axle Assembly 3TG 9803 can be used, just have to cut 5mm of the axel he sad of a 135mm axel. When I measure my axel it`s 120mm, so then I have to cut 15mm ?? How long is the 3TG 9803 axel ? And will it work as he say ?

Hi,

I'm afraid we cannot recommend any option for your wheels that involve buying an incorrect axle and cutting it to suit, with simple hubs with solid axles this is possible but these axles are heavily machined and not designed to be cut down.

I'm afraid this axle will not be suitable for your rear hub, this is the quick release (10x135mm) option, for the 12x142mm option you need SJSC part 31643.
