This outer chainring can also be used on the following chainsets:

- Shimano SLX FC-M677
- Shimano FC-M627

Can I use this with existing 22T inner ring

Hi!

I'm replacing the 36T ring only on a 36/22 set-up due to wear.

Is this 38T outer ring compatible with the existing 22T inner or do I have to stick with a 36? (I don't want to go 35/24)

SJS Customer Service:

We would not recommend it, the shifting is likely to be fairly poor.
